What would you do for $200,000? No, this isn’t a trick question. In fact, you don’t have to do anything too strenuous or consider risking your life. Forget about jumping out of a plane - no parachute in sight - or climbing a mountain sans the Sherpa or safety gear. It’s not nearly that exciting. Sorry.

All we want you to do is drive a haul truck up and down the same road for hours upon hours, while still remaining focused and alert. But that’s not too say you’d be stuck in one place

Toughest Jobs In Mining

Mining is one of the toughest industries in which a person can work.

Australian mine sites are located in some of the harshest environments known to man.

That said, of course there are the more ‘cushy’ jobs on a mine-site, but if one looks at the mining industry as a whole one quickly comes to the conclusion that mining is definately a hard task master

MineTalk is today throwing its support behind the fun-loving WA miners who were fired for their seemingly-harmless underground performance of the Harlem Shake.

As has been widely reported, the 15 miners - some of whom were just watching the stunt and not taking part in it - were fired by management of Barminco’s Agnew Mine after they uploaded a video of themselves doing Baauer’s hit dance craze on site
